BRITISH HOMES

Типы домов:

There are many types of houses in the UK. Some are big. Some are small. Some are in the city centre and some are in the countryside. Here are the main types of houses in the UK.

Detached

A detached house is on its own with a garden and a driveway. Detached houses are big and are usually in the suburbs. They are popular with families, but they are expensive.

Semi-detached

Semi-detached houses are two houses together with a garden. They are popular with families, too. There are semi-detached houses in the suburbs and in a lot of big towns.

Terraced

Terraced houses are houses in long rows. These houses are in city centres and in big towns. They are small and sometimes there is a small garden or a yard at the back.

Block of flats

In city centres, there are blocks of flats. These homes are on top of each other. Some blocks of flats are very tall with good views at the top. They are very popular with young people.

Bungalow

Bungalows are small houses with gardens. They have only got one floor. There are bungalows in small towns and in the suburbs.

Cottage

In the countryside, there are cottages. These houses are small with big gardens. They are very pretty.

  • detached house -> dom, który stoi samodzielnie

  • terraced house -> domy w rzędzie
  • block of flats -> blok mieszkań
  • bungalow -> domek jednorodzinny
  • cottage -> mały domek wsiowy

Прочитайте текст про дома в Великобритании и 👉 сопоставить 1–3 с a–c.

У нас есть:

И три описания:

🔹 Blocks of flats

В тексте:

👉 Значит подходит описание are homes on top of each other.


🔹 Итог:

  2. Semi-detached houses – are two houses together
  3. Blocks of flats – are homes on top of each other

1️⃣ Terraced houses have always got a garden in the back.

В тексте сказано:

They are small and sometimes there is a small garden or a yard at the back.

❗ Ключевое слово — sometimes (иногда).

В предложении — always (всегда).

Это противоречие.

👉 Значит, это W (wrong).


2️⃣ Blocks of flats are in city centres.

В тексте:

Это совпадает полностью.

3️⃣ Cottages are expensive houses.

В тексте:

4️⃣ Bungalows have got two floors.

В тексте:

They have only got one floor.

❗ В предложении сказано, что у них два этажа, а в тексте сказано, что у них только один этаж.

Это противоречие.

👉 Значит, это W (wrong).

Если спрашивают просто «have got a garden», обычно берём основные:

✅ Ответ: Detached houses, semi-detached houses, bungalows and cottages have got a garden.

(Можно добавить terraced houses sometimes have a garden.)
